My first night on the study of James

  • Hi. A lot of times I feel intimidated by the beautiful things my co-members post. But tonight I just returned from my first night of a new study on the book of James. This isn't beautiful or deep but what I found interesting is that after Jesus came back, He appeared to those who needed to see Him. James, His brother was one and it is neat that Jesus' own brother needed to see Him. (1 Cor. 15:1-8) This could, well I believe it was, what was needed for James to believe & be saved. So don't give up hope on those family members who are living for the world. This was Jesus' own brother and he needed to see Jesus to believe and I am excited to see what James has to say! (ok, I already read it but am sure I will get so much more out of it this time around!) Another thing that stood out to me is that sometimes God has to changed us "over here" to get us to go back & work "over there". I know for myself this seems to be how God changes me. He will take me out of a situation, and slowly but surely change me then I find myself able to go back and give Him glory. Make scene? Well to me it does! :)
